What is this site?

This is Jonathan Whiteland’s personal website and and has the address: https://whiteland.net/jonathan

Privacy

For each visitor, the site’s web server logs the IP address they’re appearing from, the User-Agent string of their browser, the page they requested, and the time the server received the request.

This logging forms part of the systems in place on the server to block malicious actors (hackers) and on occasions is also used to debug access issues. These log files are only retained for a few weeks and are not in any way used to build profiles of any visitors.

Oh, and there isn’t any analytics on the site (no Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, or other third-party tracking). 

Cookies

No cookies are set by this site during normal browsing of its public pages.
